IT BEGAN 14.5 YEARS AGO ...

... at a bar in the West Village - yup, a bar! November 30, 1999, Jen was visiting friends in the city that week and was in between getting back from a solo backpacking trip around Europe and having reconstructive knee surgery in CT. Nancy had been living in Brooklyn for 3 years and was working long hours at STUDIOS architecture, a firm that she started working for out of grad school. We hit it off immediately, but did not exchange contact information that night. Through friends of friends, we managed to reconnect not long after.

Jen moved to the city in the summer of 2000 and the first couple of years we had a "long distance" relationship between Queens and Brooklyn. Jen moved into a little studio in Nancy’s building in Park Slope Brooklyn for a couple more years (that was a fun set-up!) and then 9 years ago we decided to trade in our tiny studios for one larger apartment. We've had many adventures, pitfalls and celebrations that have helped us grow stronger, individually and together. After almost 15 years, we are excited to bring our friends and family together to celebrate the amazing people in our lives and to express our love for each other.

... so yes, it's a long story... and it's been a wonderful ride!
